The bot is still in development, so features and bugs will be added and fixed countiniuosly.

New IRC Server

So, we have done some minor updates to our IRC server mIRCd.
Server adress is same as before, mircd.gotdns.org on ports 6667, and 8080.

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, and is one of the oldest chating protocols still going strong.

Torrent is:

We are going to take a closer look at option number one. You can find places on the internet where you can download these torrent files (ThePirateBay,Mininova,etc). When you click and download these files, you will be needing a BitTorrent Program. There are loads of programs out there... µTorrent, BitComet, Azureus, etc. i prefer µTorrent, it's small, takes about nothin from ur cpu, and is effective.

Note: downloading\uploading any kind of copyrightet material is NOT legal... but... then again...

Folder Guard

Folder Guard is a program that keeps your things "locked" or "hidden" from other persons, using your computer, or network. It is simple to use, and gives you a lot of information about the aspects of what it really does.
If you dont know your way around your computer as it is, this is not for you!
If you are a computernerd, wanting to lock files out from family or firends, on your lan\computer, this is right for you....

There are two things about this software that i dont like:
1. It has a trial period of 30 days. (i like my programs to be free)
2. It does not have a "group" policy thing. If you have a lot of users on your computer, and you want different users to access different folders, you would have to set the configurations for each of the user. Not for a user group containing the users you want the setting to apply to.

This program is effective, and a very "strong" program. NOT TO BE TOYED WITH.

Skypecasting

So, skypecasting is a new and interesting feature that skype resently launced. For now it's in beta, or alpha, the official version in "preview". The actual talking itself works great, however, there still are quite a few features missing.

basicly it's like a big conferance, with up to 100ppl, and the moderator, or host can mute and unmute the mics of all the participants.

Tested it today, with no topic to talk about, however we keept talking for a couple of hours.

The consept in trilling, and i'm thinking about doing it on a more regular basis.
Most likely weekly, but time will show :p

The two new features, are:
- Pick a picture for your google talk client
- Change the "style" of the chat.

Old news:
This is a chat program made by google, and works with Gmail (google mail). with this program, you can chat with anyone that is online in gmail (without google talk), or with persons that has google talk. If the other person have google talk and a mic, you can call each other and talk. It also notifies you with either a beep, or a notification, or both that there is emails in your inbox.

Programs & OS...

First of i just want to say.. this is a program, and a OS that i hva downloaded, the OS i have yet to try, but i just installed the program, the articles i have read about it is very promising...

1. ZipGenius - this is a free zipping tool that can be used with 20 compression formats, and, the best part is that it is very good at it too! For updating the software, you will need to download the update and install it manually. Download here, here, here or here! Addons, language packs etc. can be downloaded from here!

2. Fedora Core 5 - this is a new version of the "easiest" Linux version out there.. so, if you feel like starting to learn and use linux, you should get this version. This OS is free, and i am thinking about converting... c",) To download it click here(i386), here(x86 64) or here(ppc)! There are also other ways to get it. Fedora Mirror sites, BitTorrent or you ca order it online or visit a local vendor!

I am going to continue to give program advices... If i get the inspiration, and time c",)

Aloha...

Yeah... life's been busy these last weeks... came home from easter at thirsday night. I traveled for two whole days, man i was tired. then finally when i met my dad, i gave him a tired hug and then he tells me that we are going on a trip to Biri (500 norske mil) with a horse... i am like "Noooooo, are you serious?" he was.. i woke up at 0400 houres at friday morning and we left at 0600 hours. traveled for many long hours... after getting to our destination point we stood like my dad does with our horse, for a long, long time, the horse was alloved to screw around with a load of girly horses and everything was fine... sunday night i was home... sickn tired of everything...

that's about it, just thought i should share my sucky week with you guys... have a great day..

Interesting artice about geeks health.

"I have noticed several repeating patterns in this geek lifestyle population.
The bed should only be used for two things–sex and sleep.
Poor screen position, too small font, screen too bright/too dark, poor sitting posture are all commonly reported causes of chronic headache.
The typical geek trains their brain to be heavily focused while multitasking day after day. Is it surprising that this same brain does not do well when forced to isolate down to one task?

Well, we all know about Gmail.com and walla.com, when you use these emails you get about 3 GB of space that you can use..
I have just found out about a place where you can get 30 GB of space... When you have this kind of space, who would ever need a portable harddrive? We'd all just need satelitte internet c",)

There is said that there is coming e-mails with 50, and further on 100GB mail storage.... *wow*

Well, turns out this was'nt such a big thing after all, as it realy is happening next month with the better date format YYMMDDHHmmss 060504030201. on the other hand, a cooler time will be in 2009, when we get 12:34:56 7/8/9.
also, this was a lifetime experience, but nothing more, as the same thing will happend in a 100 years.

Ohh well, :)
